Learn to draw the italic letter shapes with Jane Shibata

Calligraphy means beautiful writing and italic calligraphy has an elegant structure. The italic style is easily adaptable to contemporary work. Learn the basic italic letter shapes that you can apply to hand made books, greeting cards, envelopes, tags, bookmarks, notes, etc. In addition, there will be a short demonstration of the various traditional tools used in calligraphy. There will be time to put the italic writing onto fun bookmarks. All skill levels welcome. All materials provided. Age 18+
