In this experimental, hands-on workshop, students will work with preset wood type lockups and vintage magazine spreads to develop dynamic new compositions. Everyone will learn how to print on a Vandercook press, gaining a foundational understanding of letterpress printing. From there, the focus will shift to collaging, as students are guided through the process of cutting, layering, cropping, and rearranging elements to build visually engaging works of abstract art.
