Learn how to draw the basic foundational letter shapes, which you can use to embellish hand-made books, greeting cards, envelopes, tags, bookmarks, notes, etc. Extremely legible, the foundational hand serves as a model for many contemporary lettering and typefaces — and often to cover big spaces too. This half-day workshop will also include a short demonstration of the various traditional tools used in calligraphy, plus lots of time for guided practice with the foundational writing style. All levels welcome.
