Independence Day Celebration
Come join us celebrate the birthday of our country ! ! !
Celebrate Independence Day with Ben Franklin at the International Printing Museum in Carson. The all-day event for the whole family will include special tours of the Museum’s working collection, an opportunity to print the Declaration of Independence on a colonial press, and print patriotic keepsakes on the antique printing presses. Guests can also make their own Paul Revere Liberty Lanterns, a fun paper project for all ages.
Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson & John Adams will lightheartedly examine the events leading up to this day of freedom in “Confounding Brothers” in the Museum’s Heritage Theater. Musical entertainment will be provided by docent Jack Conway, playing patriotic music on his 83-year-old “Calliope” from his collection of antique musical instruments.
Admission includes all activities and a patriotic lunch of hot dogs, apple pie and punch. Admission is $10 per person, or a family group rate of $30 for up to 4 people. The event is open to the general public but due to limited seating in our theater, reservations are required for the “Confounding Brothers” performances.
PLEASE NOTE: The 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm shows are already booked to capacity. There are lots of activities to keep you and the family occupied all day long.
