Celebrate our Country’s Birthday on July 4th at the Printing Museum’s annual Independence Day Celebration event with our Founding Fathers Ben Franklin, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson, otherwise known as The Confounding Brothers! They’ll present a thought-provoking account of The Declaration of Independence and how our nation came to be.
Festivities include special working tours of the Printing Museum collections, including the opportunity to print your own Declaration of Independence on Franklin’s colonial press and other revolutionary items on our collection of antique printing equipment.
Kids Krazy Kraft Day draws a crowd of nearly 250 people, kids of all ages were in attendance.
Even “young at heart” adults and grandparents were folding paper, watching various demonstrations and printing. Kids from toddlers to teens were doing calligraphy, drawing cartoons, making paper, shaping origami, and printing on antique presses. Silkscreening T-shirts was also a big hit.
Thanks to all the volunteers for making this another wonderful experience for patrons of the Museum. Without their help and time none of this would be possible.
If you missed the event, be sure to get on the Printing Museum’s mail list.]]>
